It’s
that time of year again, tax return.
Accounting is definitely not my forte, but I’m not as miserable with it
as I used to be because I’m getting used to doing it on my own. However, I’m still having a hard time.
What
makes my busy season even busier is the renovation plan for the apartment
buildings, in one of which we live.
Our residents association has decided to have the plumbing exchanged
with the one that has higher durability.
It seems to be good for us the residents, but, the down side is that all
residents are required to clear stuff from some parts of our living quarters
for the construction work.
In
my case, I have to move some furniture and empty two closets by the time they
start their plumbing work. It’s almost
like moving! It’s a real pain in
the neck. I have been packing reluctantly
my stuff little by little.
As
a result, I’m all surrounded by cardboard boxes. I eat, study, watch TV, and sometimes sort a bunch of
receipts there. For me, nothing is
more depressing than this because I like to keep things well
organized. I have no choice but to
put up with this situation.
The
deadline for filing the tax return is March 15. The plumbing will be completed on March 19. I don’t think I will see the true light
of spring until I have gone through these two things.
